Leoni is our newest addition to the SACCM Executive committee in July 2008. Around the Country Music circuit, she became well known through her involvement with the Kilburn RSL, as their Entertainment Officer for their Country Music Functions as well as some of her own shows. To assist in promoting them she visits various Clubs taking flyers. She brought Col Thomson to Adelaide, doing his only show in Adelaide, when she was just a rookie in Country Music promoting. Leoni is no stranger to Country Music Festivals in SA, and interstate, travelling to Tamworth with one of our corporate members, Harris Coaches, and will be going with them again next year. She has been a member of the Southern Country Music Club the past few years. She has a long history of Committee involvement, beginning at the young age of 15 years. She has held Executive positions for most of the Committees she has been involved in. These range from Younger Set Red Cross, Youth Club, Playgroup, kindy, schools and sports associations. In Kiwanis International Club of Athelstone, (a Community Service Club) Leoni served several years on the board, as a Director, Vice President, President and immediate past President. Leoni had other ongoing positions including E Grade and Special Olympics Official and Campbelltown Mayoral Ball Rep. In all, a total span of 46 years of committee involvement. Though her commitment to be involved in the promoting of Country Music, is some what, a much more recent involvement, her references that came with her application say she is a hard worker, with “the ability to take on a task and see it through to its completion, ensuring that all aspects have been carefully dealt with”. If her past track record is any indication, she will be an asset to our Committee.
