The band began as a session band in 1998 by guitarist/songwriter, Paul Irving. Throughout the period of '98 - 2000, Paul recorded both here and in the USA to establish the foundation of the bands sound and direction.
The band has now evolved into a collective of some of the most experienced national and international players and song writers which creates a greater diversity in the bands repertoire.
Chardonnay Cowboys are passionate about their home town and are always keen to perform at local gigs when ever they can. The launch of this new country rock venue at Hahndorf Resort's "Ranges" is not only a great opportunity for Chardonnay Cowboys to perform locally but also for the live music industry as a whole.
