Melody Feder
Melody Feder was born in Adelaide in 1988. It must have been fate that her parents named her so appropriately and she has always lived up to her name, from an early age she showed talent, appearing in many musicals, and guest spots at her Father's bands concerts as well as performing on stage with Kasey Chambers and the Dead Ringer Band at the age of 10! Her love of country music has been a long time thing, her Dad played a lot of country music around the house when she was young and this is where she has got her inspiration. Artists such as Linda Rondstat, Emmylou Harris, Kasey Chambers, Catherine Britt, Fred Eaglesmith and Sara Storer are a few that she looks up to. In 2001 Melody entered her first Talent Quest in The Riverland and followed this up by entering both The Riverland Quest and The Mildura Quest, in the following 4 years with varied results including a 2nd in bush Ballads in 2004, 1st in duo and 3rd in Junior Gospel in 2003 in Barmera at Barmera and a 3rd in Duo in Mildura 2004, with fellow country singer, Hollie May O'Neill. She then took a brief break while she concentrated on studying and started a successful business planning Children's Parties. This year has been a big one for Melody and she has arrived back on the Country scene with a vengeance, winning both the Bush ballads and Country Rock section in The Riverland and receiving a 3rd in Senior Gospel, has seen her qualify for this year’s Champion of Champions. She is also in rehearsal with a band at the moment and plans to be appearing at a venue near you soon, Melody Feder is one to watch!
