"I have been involved in the Country Music Industry for more years than I can remember, firstly as a vocalist with many different bands, also doing cabaret and television work, and had my own band (Country Comfort) for many years, I was part of the committee that staged the first CM Festival in S.A. at Strathalbyn, and I was part of the inaugural committee that set up SACCM, I also served a short period of time on the committee a few years back doing the Gig Guide and secretarial duties.

I was Secretary of the Committee that set up the Gawler Country Music Club and served in that position for many years, during that time I was heavily involved with producing  the Gawler C.M. Festivals  and formed a band called Just Country to promote and raise funds for the Club. I have had the pleasure of judging Champions twice and would like to do more of this.

I lived in Gawler for 11 years and was on several different committees promoting tourism etc. and moved to Nth. Plympton 6 years ago, where I got married, (please don’t faint old friends) and now spend my time painting , travelling, and enjoying all the different country music functions with my husband."

Joni became SACCM's much needed Treasurer on Feb 8, 2007! and secretary later in 2007. In September 2008 she became the CEO.
