MIDNIGHT SPECIAL

The Midnight Special Band play 60/40 and country.

The group is composed of:-

Warren Johncock
  • on rhythm guitar, mouth organ, vocals and a little Banjo, including Duelling Banjos.
  • has played in a number of bands. He was an original member of the Cobbers & Co. Band
  • Warren has backed Paul McCartney on mouth organ, on the song "Let It Be", even though Warren was seated in the second row of the audience, he feels it's a small technicality!
  • in 2006 Warren has also received an award for his song "All Country" in the SACCM Modern Country song writer's section.


James Kenny

  • on Bass Guitar and Vocals has been on the Adelaide entertainment circuit for 35 years
  • performed with many bands and artists state wide in that time. Including two years with Ex Masters Apprentices' Peter Tilbrook, the 60s/70s Rock Group "Cross Town".
  • James was also in the original "Cobbers & Co." and various other acts.

 

Jamie Kenny

  • On Drums and vocals
  • Jamie has had 15 years experience in the entertainment industry.
  • he has played in bands such as "The Reps" and "Tumblindice"
  • he has been with Midnight Special Band since 2000.
  • Jamie appreciates and sings a wide rnage of songs.

 

Lynn Hill

  • on lead guitar and keyboard
  • also plays bass guitar
  • has a bachelor in Music
  • has toured Australia with the band 'Full House', spent time with the band 'Big Bossa'
  • over the years Lynn has played in Reggae, African, Jazz and country rock bands.
  • Lynn's lead guitar playing is a must for a listen

Every band member sings lead vocal and harmony. Anyone liking a good variety of 60/40 or Country will enjoy the Midnight Special Band.
