Eliza Parker

Country Music continually opens the doors of opportunity to new artists.

A young girl to look out for is Eliza Parker from South Australia.

Eliza is capable of singing songs well in advance of her years, including the songs of Slim Dusty and Becky Cole.

What makes Eliza so special?

For her young age, Eliza has a tremendous ability to remember lyrics, she’s a natural who does not spend too much time on rehearsals, and her voice is pitch perfect.

In addition to this, Eliza loves Country Music.

Now a regular performer at Country Music Festivals in SA and Interstate, Eliza is receiving requests by well known artists to appear on stage.

Eliza is now all set to direct her career pathway towards becoming a successful Country Music Artist.

Eliza began singing in June 2007 at the age of 9.

She first sang at the Junction Market at Kilburn SA, and later in 2007 she sang at the Mildura Country Music Festival at a number of cafes and the Mildura RSL Club. Eliza also enjoyed singing Bush Ballads each night at Mildura’s Apex Caravan Park.

Eliza is already a member of the Australian Bush Balladeers Association, Gawler Country Music Club and the Southern Country Music Club.

She is now learning to play guitar and has began writing her own songs. Watch out and listen out for them in the near future.

In addition to Slim and Beccy Cole, Eliza’s favourite singers are Tex Morton, Ann Kirkpatrick, Julie Perandes, Slim Connor, and Des Morgan.

In 2008 Eliza won first place in the 10 Years And Under at Port Pirie.(See pic opposite)

In the future she would like appear at Tamworth and the Gympie Muster.

Eliza’s dream is to be a full time Country Singer.

Eliza Wins another Trophy

Hi Everyone

I’ve been very busy learning my guitar and having singing lessons.

I have been away singing interstate.

In early February I went away with Dad Nana and sang at a Bush Balladeers Show at Wentworth in NSW.

On the way back from that trip we stopped at Wellington and I sang at Dave William's show. Then on the 17th of February I sang at the Munno Para at Gawler Country Music Club show. Then on the 24th of Feb I sang at Kilburn RSL with Midnight Special.

In March I sang at the Talent Quest at the Murrylands Music Festival. I didn’t win any thing but I’ll try harder next time.

Next stop was Murrybridge Country Music Club where I sang a few songs. I also went to the Southern Club where we are also members, and sang three songs as a Walk Up. It’s been a busy time because most nights I have to do my school homework.

Next it was time to pack the car and on our way to Horsham in Victoria for their first Country Music Festival. The weather was great and it was fantastic to meet up with ‘My old mate Slim Connor’. I sang on the Friday and the Saturday and they loved some of my bush ballads. It’s a really good festival I’ll be going back next year... if Dad takes me of course.

Then I sang at the Railway Country Music Club. Doing the show there was Guido Davis, Chooka Williams, and Kristal Collins. I would like to thank Guido for all the nice things he said about me.

Thanks for your support and for buying my badges. It helps with my lessons and travels.

I hope to meet up with you soon.

Eliza
