TAYLOR PFEIFFER Proud South Australian, Taylor Pfeiffer was born in August 1999. Taylor has been learning the banjo for 4 years and has won several instrumental and vocal awards. She began learning the banjo at the age of 7 after hearing the song “Skippy the Bush Kangaroo” on the TV Series “Skippy”. From that moment, she hasn’t looked back! Taylor loves singing and accompanying herself on the banjo. She performs Country and Bluegrass music, but especially likes Australian Country Music. Her favourite Aussie artists are Shirley Thoms, Kasey Chambers, The Davidson Brothers, Slim Dusty, Tex Morton, Mary Schneider and Melinda Schneider. Taylor was dubbed “The Banjo Girl” at the recent 2011 Tamworth Country Music Festival. She had great success at Tamworth with one of her highlights, performing on stage at “The Davidson Brothers Bluegrass Breakfast” at Wests in Tamworth, after Hamish Davidson spotting Taylor busking on Peel Street. After Hamish and Taylor busked to the crowd on Peel Street for 30 minutes, Hamish invited Taylor to perform at their Bluegrass Show. Taylor was so happy to perform on stage with such great talent. Taylor was also a Special Guest at 7 Shows in Tamworth -
Taylor also performed on stage at Melinda’s “Schneider Idol” in Tamworth to a large crowd. Taylor success continues with an invitation to appear on “Evenings with Peter Goers” on ABC 891 Radio, Adelaide. Peter Goers has asked if Taylor can teach him a little banjo in the studio. Her interview will take place at 7.45pm on Friday 4th March and go for 10-15 minutes. Besides singing and banjo, Taylor also plays the drums. She has been learning drums for 5 years and is at an intermediate level. Taylor hopes to complete an AMEB Drumming Exam this year. Taylor can be contacted |
